Bananas are one of the most widely grown and consumed fruits in the world. In civilised cultures, only ripe bananas are consumed, while in banana-growing poorer countries, green bananas are a staple food source.
In addition to its stand-alone use, it can be mixed well with other seed flours, possibly with cereal flours, root and tuber crop flours. It is an excellent additive to various porridges and baby foods, and can also be used effectively to thicken soups and sauces.
It is a high starch flour that can be included in a paleo diet.
Safi Reform green banana flour can be used alone or mixed with other flours to make porridges, baby food, but it is also ideal for thickening soups, sauces and stews. It makes excellent pancakes.
